Job Description
Install truck equipment on truck chassis to include heavy and light duty service bodies, truck-mounted
cranes, truck hoists, hydraulic air compressors, outriggers, liftgates, snowplows, spreaders, and various
accessories such as toolboxes, hitches, and lighting. Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work
for various related equipment on truck chassis.
Installation procedures include:
· Fabricating, welding, and electrical wiring.
· Trimming and fitting parts to tolerances as per company policies and/or specifications.
· Working with parts or components that require dexterity.
· Working knowledge of various hand tools.
· Moving heavy equipment.
· Install electrical components such as lighting, trailer plugs, and brake components.
Required Knowledge and Skills
· Possess mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assembly aptitude.
· Must be able to read & understand a tape measure. I.e., fractions of an inch.
· Ability to assemble from blueprints, drawings, or schematics.
· Ability to read and understand truck specification documents.
· Capable of troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical problems
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Must have clear and legible handwriting.
· Value quality and take pride in your work.
· Able to work independently.
· Must have good attendance.
· Must be able to bend, lift, or squat and lift a minimum of 50bs.
