Locums Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Columbia, South Carolina - Low Census, Hands On Care

Provide focused neonatal and pediatric coverage in a low-census inpatient setting with hands-on procedures and occasional emergency department consultation.

Highlights

• Average daily census of one to two
• Level I and II nursery coverage
• Pediatric ED consults as requested
• Multi-site coverage opportunities

Practice & Cases

• Neonatal and pediatric patients from 32 weeks gestation
• Neonatal resuscitation and CPAP
• Ventilator management and pulmonary surfactant administration
• Peripheral IVs, arterial sticks, umbilical lines, and catheters

Schedule

• Inpatient clinical coverage
• Coverage days are being finalized
• Nursery coverage with pediatric consult support
• Additional regional locations may need coverage

Requirements

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner
• Board Certification as a Neonatal NP or Pediatric Acute Care NP required
• Active South Carolina license required
• BLS and NRP required

Logistics

• Lodging is covered within established limits
• Rental car or mileage is covered
• Airfare is not provided
